Why Should We Explore Ourselves While Studying The Bible?

    Lamentations 3:40)

“Let us examine our ways and test them,...and let us return to the Lord”

“Our ways” may include our personality and behavior which can be identified and described by personality assessment. Self awareness and examination are facilitated by the data from personality testing and analysis identifying what is within.

And, as Matthew and Mark have told us it is that which comes from the inside that defiles:

    Matthew 15:19

“For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.”

    Mark 7:20-23

      20) He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them.

      21) For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder,

      22) adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.

      23) All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

    Proverbs 18:2

Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.
